Executive Leadership Fundamentals is a two-session online course (two four-hour blocks) designed for current and aspiring Executive Directors, deputy directors, and senior managers in public housing and HCV agencies. It focuses on the real-world executive responsibilities that matter most: accountability for HUD programs, effective governance and board relations, ethical decision-making, and oversight of high‑risk areas like policies, procurement, and HUD reviews.
Through case examples, guided discussion, and practical tools, participants learn how to clarify the executive role, avoid common early missteps, and strengthen their agency’s policy and procurement framework. The course also introduces checklists, red‑flag indicators, and HUD review readiness practices that leaders can immediately apply to better manage risk, communicate confidently with HUD and their Board, and sustain long‑term compliance and organizational stability.
